Relationship Marketing – Curated

I curated this post by Angela Wills because it resonated with me. In fact I love Angela’s whole philosophy of building a business that supports your desired lifestyle and not living your life around your business.

Using  relationship marketing to help you grow your business absolutely flows beautifully into that philosophy.

Accordingly to Angela, Asking “what are the benefits of relationship marketing” will get you so far but it’s more important to think of how YOU can bring value. Then lean into the belief that by giving and creating TRUE relationships you will be able to help each other in a real, authentic and sustainable way.

Sign Posts Of Relationship Marketing

Some of the signposts of relationship marketing are: Consistency in giving value, having a perspective of being in service through your business and practicing authenticity.

I bet you can see why this resonated so much with me.  These are pillars of growing a business you love as your true self. We’re always talking about how people buy from those they know, like and trust; this form of marketing just amplifies that in so many ways.

Steps to Using Relationship Marketing Successfully

If you want to use relationship marketing effectively in your business there are a few basic steps you need to follow.

  • Connect with people you have something in common with. Remember, you want to your authentic self. So don’t try to pretend you’re someone you’re not, just so you can connect with someone you think can help you. And, that goes double if you don’t have anything you can offer them that can provide value to them or their audience.
  • Build an actual real relationship with them that is mutually beneficial.
  • Offer ways to work together when it makes sense.
